Fishing
The Lung Valley (5 miles from Rockview House) is an
anglers paradise with its rivers and lakes and probably
offers the best Coarse Fishing waters in Ireland. It is
excellent for bream, trout, roach, rudd, perch, tench, eel,
pike and hybrids.
The Lung Valley is a developed stretch of water with easy
access, off the road safe parking, nature walks, slipways
for boats, fishing stands etc. There is a disabled fishing
stand on the Lung River and Lough Gara Lake for physically
impaired anglers.
Ballaghaderreen & District Angling Club have a
substantial list of Angling Fixtures on the Lung Waters
throughout the year. The Lung River is 18 miles long with 6
